Sheltering Arms Senior Services offers many opportunities to members of the community who want to make a difference in the lives of the elderly.
Of the thousands of elderly Houstonians who live alone, many are isolated and seldom receive visitors or even a phone call. Others may live with family, but suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or stroke-related dementia and as a result have very limited social contact outside of the home.
Sheltering Arms volunteers address these needs by providing a variety of services to enhance the quality of life and safety of elders.
