The TXU Energy Turkey Trot includes a 5K fun run/walk/wheelchair event, a chip-timed 10K race, a Kids' K and a post race party.

Event Schedule
6:00 a.m.-7:30 a.m. On-Site Registration and Chip Pickup begins
7:55 a.m. 10K/5K Wheelchair Starts
8:00 a.m. 10K/5K Run
8:05 a.m. 10K/5K Walk
9:15 a.m. Kids' K

Awards
10K: The male and female winners in three categories - First Overall 10K, First Masters 10K and First Wheelchair 10K - will receive special prize packages, each with a retail value of over $500.

The top three male and female 10K winners in each age group category (7-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-plus.) will receive awards. You must wear a chip to be timed and be eligible to receive a 10K award.

Kids' K participants will receive finisher medals.

Sanctioning
The race is fully sanctioned and certified by the Gulf Association of USA Track & Field.

10K/5K Course Restrictions
Course is on flat, concrete-surfaced city streets. Our insurance requirements prohibit roller blades, skates, strollers, or baby joggers from the 10K and 5K runs. Strollers and baby joggers may be used in the walks.

Corporate running teams require a separate entry form. Please call 713-685-6555 for more information or e-mail us.

Parking
Parking for race participants and volunteers is available at Uptown Park. Uptown Park can be accessed on race morning by turning onto Uptown Park Blvd. off of the 610 feeder road. Please note that prior to the start of the race all other entrances are closed. All entrances to Uptown Park will be closed at 6:30 a.m. so arrive early to get the best parking spot!

Gear Check
Drop off your warm-ups and keys at the Gear Check-In located in the race day packet pickup area.

Post Race Party
Join us after the Trot for healthy refreshments at the Post Race Party located in the parking lot in front of Arturo's Italian Restaurant.
