This Sheltering Arms service is provided to companies as a dependent care benefit for their employees. Employees who use these services report better ability to manage work/life demands, reduced stress, less time away from work and less time worrying about their elder care situation.

Consultation - in-depth, personalized telephone session with a geriatric care manager who is based in Houston and very knowledegable about community resources.
Educational Materials - materials designed to help caregivers better understand complex elder care issues, such as Medicare, Medicaid, Alzheimer's, and Housing Options.
Workplace Seminars - a variety of seminars offered at the workplace, usually during the lunch hour, to help caregivers with their caregiving issues.
Geriatric Care Management - in-home assessment and care plan, and if needed, arrangement and monitoring of services outlined in the care plan.
